So it's been, like, 3 years since I posted here...
I wonder if anyone will read this? Except thejenx, who already knows it all.
Top 10 things that happened since I last posted:
1. I married David this January 3 in Atlanta. It was an awesome interfaith Episcopalian/Pagan ceremony with about 100 friends and family, 10 attendants, 2 officiants (his priest and my mentor), broom-jumping, his 4 cousins calling the elements, chocolate cake (because who really prefers vanilla?), general awesomeness.
2. I graduated college. Yeah, I have a B.A. in Religious Studies now. So does he.
3. We moved to Los Angeles together. We live 30 min (longer with traffic) from his parents, and 4 hours by plane from mine.
4. I'm working as a certified nursing assistant at a convalescent hospital. That means I help old people and middle-aged surgery rehab patients with dressing, eating, going to the bathroom, etc.
5. I just finished applying to seminary to be a hospital or hospice chaplain. If all goes well we'll be moving to Berkeley in the fall so I can start school and he can... well, that's a seperate point, I guess.
6. David's working on being an Episcopal priest, but that's a long process, so in the meantime he's getting a one-year teaching certificate. In a few months he'll be certified to teach middle and high school history, which he'll do until the church decides he's ready to preach instead.
7. ... um, ok, so I can only think of 6 major ones right now. Deal with it. :)
