So a LOT has changed since that last post. (Maybe someone still reads this... actually if you do please comment so I know whether it's worth updating even very, very occasionally.) The major points:
-I'm a coleader of the Pagan Discussion Circle, and a declared Religious Studies major looking at a career in some type of clergy or academic career. I prefer clergy, but there isn't exactly Pagan Seminary at this point, and the UUs want people who have spent years active in their church. Having attended twice doesn't count. Chaplaincy is a strong option, though being Pagan instead of Christian or Jewish is a problem in the US.
-David and I will have been going out for a year this coming Thursday, May 4. Yeah. JT and I broke up again a week after that last entry, for the last time. I swore off men forever, as usual, and started falling for David a month later. He and I work really really well, though, and maybe... well, I think he's the one.
-I'm spending most of this summer interning at Diana's Grove, a Pagan retreat site in southeastern Missouri. It's going to be fantastic for my body--a steady diet of physical labor (green construction and caring for the considerable and wild grounds) and good healthy organic food--and even more fantastic for my spiritual growth.
-Michelle, one of the Goddess Quad folk, is getting married. On January 13. Yes, a pair of friends my age (her and her fiancee) are getting married. Last Saturday she, Janaki, Madeleine, and I went shopping for bridesmaid dresses. It's exciting and kind of terrifying.
-I do in fact have stress-triggered asthma. It's lovely. Especially as I also have specific stress-triggered anxiety issues, which have often themselves triggered the asthma. It's usually mild, though there was that one time two weeks ago when I almost went to the hospital.
-I'm already somewhat familiar with the local hospital, because last fall Michelle broke her arm and a bunch of us were in and out the ER, surgery, and recovery wings for a month or so, supporting her.
-The interpersonal conflicts in LARP got too ridiculous, so the organization dissolved.
-I have too much schoolwork to be doing this, so I'm going to stop now and go be a good student. By which I mean exercise my l33t damage control essay producing skillz.
