Here's a little hint, kiddies... when you pre-order the most anticipated game of your generation, and especially when you order the deluxe edition with all sorts of useless crap with the game, do not, i repeat, do not, skimp on the shipping, pay for the overnight!!!!!!!  I was dumb, guess I figured, "man, I'm spending this much money, better not ( Read more... )

Dude, feeling the exact same way. I pre-ordered the special edition on Amazon and neglected to pay for the expedited shipping. I can only hope that stabbing hobos will tide me over (and give some necessary insight, of course) until it arrives.

Real hobos or GTA hobos? eh, what's the difference. I've heard some horror stories about Amazon's release of GTA, most to the effect that if you didn't pay for overnight shipping and/or you didn't preorder way early, they wouldn't mail it until next week, hope you're not in that pool...

Yeah, I saw that on Fark yesterday, thankfully mine did go through UPS to USPS, last time it was updated it was in Cinci, we'll see if USPS gets it here. Thankfully I have a 80 gig PS3, heard (again, on Fark) that there's some issues with a few of the 60 gig (and 360) freezing on the opening scene, that would really piss me off...

Ouch! but then again I don't understand why anyone would fork out for a PS3 and not get the higher performance system as that is Sony's Niche - I'm one of those people who say that there is no console wars, at least between Nintendo & Sony, as the systems have found particular niche in the last gen and expanded more fully into them with Sony concentrated on Single Player Games and Graphic Rich Games for hardcore gamers and Nintendo has focused on multi-player and party atmosphere games (and all about making their systems easily portable - the Cube had a handle and the Wii is diskdrive sized). Microsoft on the other hand has been trying to be a well rounded average system in between the two and taken a more generalized path which has worked for them.

Still I'm surprised the let it out the door with that bug.
