Tokimemo Girl's Side 2: Saeki Teru - The first guy I met
SAEKI TERU
Teru is the first guy that I met in the game and he is so handsome so I targeted him when I first played this game. (Simple reason..hah!)
At the very beginning of the game when he doesn't have any affection on you, you can always see him frowns and mades unsatisfied face toward you. However, he always smile with his prince-charming style in front of everyone else. (Oh, well. Who asked you to find out about his secret part-time job. He seems to be so pissed about that. :P)
Even though he seems to be very cold in front of you, it's really easy to ask him out for a date. He usually doesn't reject your call if you ask him out on Sunday. (I confess that I really had a 'dokidoki' feeling when I made the first phone call to him when I first play this game. I like the game's idea that it makes you wait for a while for him to pick up the phone.)
The phone conversation with him is like:
Teru: Hello, this is Saeki.
You: (Tell him your name)
Teru: ... Huh?
You: (Tell him your name again)
Teru: Hmm! What do you want?
You: (Asking him out)
Teru: You and me? Why?
You: Eh? No particular reason.
Teru: ... Well. Okay then.
You: (Confirming the place and time to meet)
Teru: Got it. (And then cuts off the line.)
(What a cold guy he is!)
My Impressions:
As you progress through the game, you will see more of his nicer and softer side. A lot of his events are really nice and most of them leave me with good impressions of the game. I like the one when he was sleeping on the lawn, then the one when he was wearing eyeglasses, and etc., etc. (I only managed to get some of them so far. I know there will be a lot more of his events that I still missed.)
I also like his conversation with Harry (Hariya) every time the two of them appear together in the game. I don't know much Japanese so I didn't really read all the conversations. But the one that I remember and really like is when Harry tried to get an answer of how long Teru spent to style his hair and Teru said he didn't do anything special with his hair but Harry didn't believe that and still tried to bug Teru. And then Teru always calls Harry with his real name, Hariya, no matter how much Harry wanted to be called "Harry." (The two of them seem to be in the same music band or something like Teru asking Harry to teach him guitar techniques, I'm not quite sure.) Oh, another one is the one that Teru asked Harry about the guitar chord "Am9" and Teru said "A M kyuu" and Harry corrected him that it should be read "A M Nine." :D
Teru does leave a bitter memory for me when I play this game for the first time. Anyone who has played this game before should know what I mean. [Spoiler here>] That part when he left really made me cry. I didn't expect that a dating game would have this kind of tragic plot too. I was in a shock state for a while when I first play this game because I didn't read any FAQs and didn't know that he would leave all of a sudden. It was even worse because I only focused on dating him and getting him in Tokimeki state without realizing that I had to up my stats too. And the worst of the worst was that I didn't date any other guys enough to get any of their confessions. At the end of my first play, I just ended up alone. T T[
This is probably all I want to say about my first impression with this game and about Teru. Oh, and because I didn't concern about getting all the endings when I played my first and second round, I only got the normal end when he was my first kiss and then I accepted his confession. (Too bad I did save another game play over my Teru's save. I think I'll have to start from the beginning to get a chance to reject him.)
