Kid sayings
I'm very, very, very sleepy. Just thought you all needed to know that.
Figured I'd give you a break from disaster news by posting some stuff from my kids. Scroll right through this post if the category of "cute things my kids say" nauseates you...
Danae and I were having a discussion about her spelling words. I finished up with, "Are we on the same page?" She said, "We might be on the same page, Mom, but I don't think we're reading the same book."
She also needed a half slip to wear under her skirt, and couldn't remember what it was called. She asked my mom, "Do you have a part-time slip?"
If you tell Delenn to do something she doesn't want to do, or ask her a question she doesn't know the answer to, she rolls her eyes dubiously and says, "I don't know 'bout dat..."
But my favorite yet: Mr. T had cooked dinner--hamburger steak, vegetables, rice and gravy, rolls. Delenn said, "But I want peanut butter and jjjjlelly!" I said, "No, baby, we're not having peanut butter and jelly tonight. Daddy fixed us some good food!" Delenn eyed her plate and demanded, "Well, where izzit?"
