2. There are many places you can go for what you want to do. Don't fixate on one just b/c you've applied there. The school year is nowhere close to starting.
3. In the time I've known you you've moved twice and made a boatload of friends both places (including me). Don't hide behind imagined fears. Besides, you plan to move to Chicago soon, and you don't know very many people in the city proper there either, but you plan to deal.
4. The roads where you are from are ridiculous, too. In my current town I can tell you the cardinal directions, but back home everything curves. You know this.
5. Just watch games with Travis. You have a big TV.
If you don't want to go, don't go, but don't make up reasons. Just leave it at a "I'd rather not".
