So, Travis's company is opening an office in London and Travis wants to apply to go there. I told him he can go straight to hell, that as much as London sounds like a lovely place, Im not moving out of the country. Especially not for an undetermined amount of time, when Im supposed to be going to culinary school, when he cant guarantee what his

As for your list (and this is the tough love part):
1. So fly home. Flights from Philly to Chicago are frequent and probably not that expensive.
2. This was valid. (But I would think a city the size of Philly would also have good schools.)
3. That's bullshit. You guys are great at making new friends. You are just comfortable right now and this would take you out of your comfort zone. Growth is good!
4. Also bullshit. You are a smart capable woman who just needs a decent map.
5. Also bullshit. Puh-lease. How awesome would it be to show up for a Bears away game in Philly to cheer them on when they are far from home? It would be epic.
Honestly my love, it sounds like you are making excuses because a move would be hard to do at first, it would be a big change, and it would cause you to step into a new place in your life that is unfamiliar and out of your confort zone. But stuff like that is GOOD. It causes you to grow and expand your experiences, making you into a wiser person than you are now.
Of the London and Philly question, which is better for Travis in the long run where his career lies? REALLY. Okay so it may set you back on your career schedule. Roll with it. Who knows, this might put you in the exact perfect school you need to be in, making the right contacts for you to get into the industry with.

I wish I could be there for your opening night.
Deepest appologies.

2. There are many places you can go for what you want to do. Don't fixate on one just b/c you've applied there. The school year is nowhere close to starting.
3. In the time I've known you you've moved twice and made a boatload of friends both places (including me). Don't hide behind imagined fears. Besides, you plan to move to Chicago soon, and you don't know very many people in the city proper there either, but you plan to deal.
4. The roads where you are from are ridiculous, too. In my current town I can tell you the cardinal directions, but back home everything curves. You know this.
5. Just watch games with Travis. You have a big TV.
If you don't want to go, don't go, but don't make up reasons. Just leave it at a "I'd rather not".

Maybe it would be better if you and I got matching jackets and skipping around while snapping. That's what gangs do, right?
