ur a very sad person. i'll pray for you. did you ever think that with all the people who have died for their belief must really know what they're talking about to give up their lives for something? or are they just all really suicidal? i dunno about u but i'm only giving up my life for something i know is real. something to ponder.

First, that third sentence made no fucking sense.

Second, if we are to judge the acuracy and validity of a religion based on the fervor of it's followers, then Islam surely IS (currently, that is) the only true religion.

Third, if you believe in it so strongly, why do you post anonymously? do you really believe in something if you have to hide who you are? surely the love of god in the afterlife is more important to you than the opinions of us mere mortals. something for YOU to ponder.

I think what theyre trying to say is that it is significant that those who recorded the Bible were willing to die for it, and should count as evidence towards how strongly they felt on the matter, that it is true and a factual account. People dont die for lies, lies are selfish, and martyrdom is the opposite of that.

Maybe they dont have an LJ account, but were randomly browsing other peoples... its happened before.

seriously though, people who are willing to die for something they know nothing about are plain stupid, as i consider to be the case with, hmm, ALL the christians i know.

just as they think i'm going to hell because i a). don't necessarily believe in a god, and b). am a dirty homosexual, i believe they are totally capable of being complete and total idiots due to their belief in a god they can't see, feel, or communicate with, regardless of their actual intelligence. blind faith to me is an indicator of stupidity.

thank you, deleted.

i feel sorry for you because it's likely that you're wasting money on an education that isn't penetrating your thick fucking skull. i feel sorry for you because you don't know your ass from your face the way you rely on your blind faith. i feel sorry for you because you need to get fucked, you uptight bitch. i feel sorry for you because you essentially have an "invisible friend" that you call a god.

i'd risk going to hell just to shut your stupid ass up permanently.

the fact that your vocabulary is limited to "fuck, bitch, cunt, asshole, shit" and other such vulgarities and instead of making an argument thats all u have to say for yourself proves to me that i'm not the idiot in this scenario. ur a very angry person. i haven't placed any judgements on you yet all u do is judge me and people like me for judging people like you. you think the world is out to get you. we pray for people like you we don't condemn you. i don't know what kind of people have given u the opinion you have about the world but they are misinformed and so are you.
and i get laid whenever i want to get laid lol. don't u worry about that
P.S. God isn't my friend.

wow you obviously haven't been getting any of the points i have been making. like i said i'm not perfect and never claimed to be. christians sin and they know they sin. that's why when u said people think homosexuals are going to hell...ur just wrong. and i didn't make a judgement about u being angry...i made an observation. and what's your obsession with the way i type on this stupid live journal. u're not capitalizing your I's so ur not writing properly either. give me a break! there is no such thing as being a proper christian as you say. and ur right there are a lot of people who claim to be christians who are going to hell. and where do u get this idea that people are only christians becuz they fear going to hell? thats just screwed up period. how does it take strength to live a life that people pray for you for? it doesn't hurt you or take anything away from you when people pray. and i'm not judging you for living the life your leading. i'm just telling you that u have a misguided opinion about it because every basis ( ... )

yeah, i skipped out on my english courses in college because of my ap exams, too. and i've made a killing writing papers for other people. given that, it's a shame you claim intelligence and manage to present yourself in the same way that a fifteen year old would.

seriously though, i'm done with this. you and i will never see eye to eye and honestly, i'd rather not have that option. thank you and goodbye.

i've always spoken freely about my views on religion. they've not changed since we've known each other, nor have i been any less vehement in the past when random christians have jumped on the idiotbox to preach at me.

Sorry, I wasn't aware that by posting a few quotes that I find inspirational, I was preaching to anyone. I don't see anywhere in my post an invitation for Christians to attack me, I'll tell you that right now. Also, can you actually honestly say that anyone who is not a Christian hates God? Firstly, I don't hate God I just don't believe in God. Secondly, so this means that Jews hate God. I know my Jewish grandpa would be pissed about that. Also, this means anyone in the Islamic faith hates God. I might point out that Islam has the largest following in the world, not Christianity. I am really in shock. I really just don't understand how you can think that anyone who is not a Christian hates God. There are plenty of people who are definitely not atheists and are very religious. They're not happy with my views and I'm not happy with theirs but I sure wouldn't call them god-haters. That is so closed-minded and disgusting and really really judgemental.

My dear Kat, did I say anything about the quotes? No. It was the generalized charge of ignorance of Christians with which I took umbrage.

Also, can you actually honestly say that anyone who is not a Christian hates God?

Yes. The Bible says it (cf. Romans 1).

I know my Jewish grandpa would be pissed about that. Also, this means anyone in the Islamic faith hates God. ... I really just don't understand how you can think that anyone who is not a Christian hates God.

I'm well aware that many would take offense. But I'm with Luther on this one:
"Unless I am convinced by Scripture and plain reason... my conscience is captive to the Word of God. I cannot and I will not recant anything for to go against conscience is neither right nor safe. God help me. Amen."
I gave my scriptural reasons for the nomenclature in the thread I linked to.

I might point out that Islam has the largest following in the world, not Christianity.Even ( ... )
