Fic craving, Napollya edition
A modern AU in which Ilya is a recent immigrant in the states and Napoleon is currently studying for the high school diploma he couldn’t get as a teen* and I don’t know how they meet (maybe they become flatmates out of necessity, maybe Napoleon studies in the same public library Ilya job hunts at, idk) but they end up with a deal of sorts where Ilya helps Napoleon study in exchange for Napoleon helping him find his bearings in NYC, and then Shippy Bits happen.
* because he left his parents’ home at sixteen, as per semi-fanon/my headcanon
