I had a pretty good year playing live HU tournaments last year. By my accounting I went 12-3 in individual matches and had a win in Macau and a third/fourth in Calgary. The day started off well enough. I doubled through Kenny with TT vs AK, then busted another player with AA vs. AK, then dodged a dominated situation by folding ATs against someone who showed me AK. Had a good starting table with a few spewboxes, but didn't manage to ever find a big hand against any of them. Finished the day below starting stack, bagging 18,900. Peaked around 55k. Played a hand poorly in the last level against Joe Cassidy where I made at least two incorrect decisions.

Tired now. Hopefully tomorrow is better.

The PMOW sting seems to be in remission. Slightly itchy, but totally manageable now and I don't even notice it ( Read more... )

Next Monday I begin the long trek to the PCA. I've decided instead of getting my travel all done in one miserable day to break it up into multiple days with some short trips. I busted uneventfully and early from the PCA. Although I definitely had more than reported 2250 in chips when I busted all-in preflop 3-handed with AA. I only know this because it was the 300/600/75 level, and there were two raises before me, and I had more than the second raise (but evidently not to get the first guy off his eights).
