Livejournal, Livejournal, Livejournal!
That's right, I'm talking to you guys! I haven't been around in nearly a decade (by my measurement), but I'm still alive. Life is busy and full of Things. School things, girlfriend things, writing things, blog things, the list goes on and on. That's right, I said blog! I started up a blog (via wordpress) that I've been using to talk about writing. It's gone pretty well, and I average anywhere from 5 to 20 views in a day, depending on the day. That's just about writing, though, and reading. I don't often start to talk about my personal life on there, and so I realized it can't hurt to start updating Livejournal when I can, too.
Oh, did I mention I've been writing? Since NaNoWriMo started, I haven't been able to stop, and it's been exciting and wonderful. I won't talk about it more than that, though, because that's what my other blog is for!
Let's move on to more exciting and more personal news.
Jess and I are looking for a place to move in together next semester! I know, I'm excited. Pretty soon we'll have been dating five years, I couldn't be happier. Well, I could be happier if school would get out of the way so I could spend more time with her, but what can you do? We've looked at the apartment complex she's in now, and the places upstairs look amazing. They're 2 bedrooms and 2 baths so we could have an office! Furthermore, Jess promises that when we move in together she'll be decorating for every holiday, which I can't wait for. Especially Christmas.
I'm in the second semester of the Nursing Program and boy is it ever hard. At least 300 pages of text book material to read and take notes on every week. We're going to be starting to go back in to the labs again next week, which means practicing procedures and other things. I learned a lot last semester, but I still feel nervous when I get in the lab. I guess it'll pass in time. I'm terribly worried that I'm going to fail, somehow, and it'll all fall apart.
Changing gears: Without going into politics too much, I just want to say this: The State of the Union address tonight was incredible. It hit all of the notes I wanted to, and while I'm really not sure about the impending spending freeze, I don't know enough about it all just yet to make any great comments. I'll be reading more about it this week.
As to not make this an even longer post, I'll end it here, but trust me, I'll be back! I'm going to be realistic and say that I'll try to update here at least once a week. It's hard enough to get everything else I want to do done. For now, it's been a long day, I have a headache, it's cold and I just want to get in bed and read The Hobbit -- until next time!
