I've been thinking about what is truely mine and what emotional garbage comes from other sources - whether it's certain individuals in my life or society in general. I've come to the realisation that most of the everyday stuff that bothers me (insecurities, ideas about "normalcy", etc.) is not mine. And that's pretty damn empowering. Also, letting go of other people's ideas about success, beauty, gender/sex, happiness, progress, etc. gives me more time/energy/brain.space to explore my own ideas about these. Easy to say...not so easy to do. The more I explore.expand.evolve.discover what I want from life, the more responsible I am (to myself and others) for creating change...personally, politically, socially, spiritually...
