If you think that, it's because you're focused on their race rather than what they actually look like. And why aren't you saying "all half-white" people look the same? Just the way you're wording this offends me, but you're not the first person to say the exact same thing to my face.
I hate that you feel you can just make that kind of off-topic comment about my appearance, which has no real bearing on our discussion of the book we're reading. I hate that you think this, and think it's actually okay to think this. I hate that so many other people agree with you. But most of all I hate that I'm making this rant in my stupid livejournal because I can't tell you how I feel without using my non-indoor voice and storming out of the room, which would ruin the class for everyone.
And I'm not even half-Japanese. (I'm a quarter Japanese, mostly English and German, before people ask.)
