New layout and other things.
This is me totally abusing exit47's awesome overrides. I wanted an imageless layout for a while, for a nice change. Uh, plenty of kinks still to work out, but I'm getting there in a slow but sure fashion. In the next week or so I want to redo my usericons so they're all arranged and pretty. That and rename this journal. I like the literary/Biblical reference, but it's really long. And I have a neat Old Kingdom name in mind that isn't taken.

Per celetinachan's request, I revisited this wonderful interpretation of that old videogame, and realized something I never had before.
Locke/Arvis! NEW CANON OTP. Just look how touchingly Locke renders their relationship:
LOCKE: Within the crust, EDGAR pretends to support the reich .
Beneth the pudding, he's collaborating with the Returners, an society opposed to the Empire. I he toutches me privately for that group. The old man you shared housed in Narshe is touchning me too.
Really, the whole "Rachel" thing is a huge coverup because of the SECRET NATURE of their love. He was really looking for that phoenix esper to revive Arvis. Why didn't I see it before? As cyallin put it, it's like Cloud/Corneo, but with more emotion.
So, I've been trying to get my mom to watch Veronica Mars with me- my way of doing my part not to get the show canceled. She likes it, but she has problems following the plotline, so I have to watch it with her to remind her of what happened in previous episodes. However, she really dislikes Logan to the point that whenever he comes on, she switches into lecutre mode.
MOM: Don't you ever fall for one of these Logan Echolls types, Alexandra. I didn't raise you that way. He doesn't love you, he only wants to use you.
ME: He's a fictional character, Mom, I think I am pretty safe.
MOM: He's not even that cute!
Ahahah, and he's the most popular character on the show too.
