January, February, March

Well, I haven't written in the past couple months. I've been busy. I've been happy.

The DRT concert in January went really well. I danced in Full Circle, a duet by our Department Chair, Patty Phillips. It was probably the biggest part I've done while I've been here, and it meant a lot to be given that kind of opportunity. I was happy with my dancing, and it was good to be excited about performing like that again.

For most of February, my main project was a new piece for our Informal Showings in early March. I used four dancers, and incorporated these lamps...it sounds kind of weird, but if you want, take a look at the video and let me know what you think:

My latest project has been getting things in place for renting out the U of M theater for summerdance this year. I'm extremely excited, and now that I know I'll be able to have a formal space, like I've always hoped, I can start planning and listening to music and finding inspiration : )

I spent a week in Flint for Spring Break, and it was pretty nice. I like spending time with my family, and I like Michigan. I spent some time rehearsing Interview With a Heartbeat for Flint Youth Ballet. I found out that Interview got into Midstates, and I'm happy that my work will be seen by people who may be interested in hiring me someday.

Eric gets here in a little over a week, and I'm very, very excited. I haven't seen him since the middle of January, and I miss him. A lot. After he leaves, I have a few more weeks of classes, and then I'm flying straight to Montana for his recital, graduation, and to help him get everything ready to move...and then we're driving back to Flint. I know...but there's really no other way to do it!

That's my life lately. I figured I should do a quick update.
