Final cover for Changing Gears
Many thanks to each of you who made comments on the mockup (which was friends-locked for obvious reasons). As it turns out, Barry was right that the spirals were watermarks on the image and not part of the 'real thing'. I sent everyone's comments to the publisher/artist because those of you who commented all had helpful things to say. I was particularly concerned about how the image, font style, and font colour were sending the wrong signals, since Changing Gears is, for the most part, a straight-up sports novel with a GLBT subplot. (Ahem, no pun intended!) No paranormal stuff, no violence, and only a tiny bit of a 'psychological aspect'. Between you, you raised the concerns I had, but also a few others, so....THANKS!
