So the other night, we were talking to M2 about things that happen in May. He has a Cinco de Mayo party at daycare today. M1 also mentioned Aunt S's birthday was coming up as well. M2's response: "I like Aunt S! We can go to her birthday party!"
So the theme continued to this morning, all piled in our bed, M2 started talking about Aunt S's "Burpday party" (he's trying really hard on the 'th' noise, but he's not there yet :-D). M2 started talking about Aunt S's cake. I think this boy has a future with
Cake Wrecks.
M2: The cake will have deer on it!
M1:
Deer?!
M2: Yeah! Like reindeer. And Santa, because Santa will be slaying the deer....
At which point I was laughing too hard to hear the rest of the details about the cake. Sorry, Aunt S, I guess you're on your own figuring out what sort of cake to get! And at some point I will teach M2 the difference between nouns (sleigh) and verbs. But this morning I couldn't get the lesson out through the laughter.
