autumn's here
I just had a pretty great weekend that consisted of playing tons of games. And I met a bunch of new people. We played various games on xbox and ps3, Mafia (yes!), Big 2, Mahjong, Taboo, and Balderdash ... this all spanned over two whole nights. Also went with some folks to see Where the Wild Things Are .. but it turned out to be a very dull movie. I guess what can you expect about a movie based on a kid's book that is 10 sentences long. I just liked looking at the pictures as a kid, especially the part where his bedroom morphs into a forest. That didn't really happen in the movie. He was a bratty kid who needed an ass-whooping ... and they tried to go all psychological and make each monster represent his emotions or something. But the plot and pacing were pretty flat, I kept finding myself drifting off to sleep.
The weather is finally starting to feel like Autumn, time to carve a pumpkin! I love Halloween :D
I plan to be in New Orleans Halloween night - which should be pretty awesome. Looking forward to seeing some extravagant costumes. I need to get a new camera before I go! Voodoo fest is also that weekend, but I think I may skip out on the music festival and just enjoy the city. I'm kind of limited on time .. need to head back early Sunday morning b/c work will be crazy Mon. It'll be one of those 7:30am - Midnightish workdays :/
