Tonight. At last. It returns. The best show currently on television (because The Wire is now over... *sob*). It was the only thought that got me out of bed this morning; I feel like crap for some reason. But I had to get up so I could wear my Frakkin' Toaster T-shirt to work. Envious glances? Yeah, it's reason enough for me to get up.

Amazing how suddenly Battlestar Galactica is getting scads and scads of press and publicity - all these journos are coming out of the woodwork praising it, while simultaneously saying really shitty, inaccurate things about Star Trek (For Christ's sake, it's not a Vulcan death grip - no such thing exists, you morons! It's a NERVE PINCH and it just renders the victim unconscious. GET IT RIGHT, YOU JERKS) and the people who love it. Apparently Trekkie is the new faggot. Or the new nigger. Or the new fat. (or the old fat, for that matter.) Happy to be a member of all, thank you very much. Trekkies 4 Life.

Anyway, as I was saying, yay, BSG. I've read tons and tons of great interviews and seen some really scintillating photographs - the BARBARELLA-inspired "space babes" spread supposedly in GQ (maybe?) is a hell of a thing; unfortunately only Tricia Helfer looks particularly good, she being a model and stuff; Grace Park just looks uncomfy and Katee Sackhoff looks like a total man in drag. I much prefer my lady Viper pilots in their jump suits and combat boots, or else just nekkid, as they often are. Tricia looks like a million bucks in anything (or nothing, as the case may be).

I'm watching at home tonight. Maybe with pals next week. On the 18th I'm gonna have a fun one - watch the episode, then take the bus the long long way to the House of Prids for a party... and then on the 25th, watch the episode and then go to Guapo for the pre-Stumptown Festival party, if it's still going on. I SHALL NOT skip an episode for any reason; the rest of the world can wait for me until after 11.

If you want to, you can watch the episode right now, streaming, on scifi.com.
