...i know i haven't been around lately
i haven't been anywhere for a few weeks...
...i haven't said anything to anyone
or answered my phone, opting to let it ring...
...i've been pretty sick again
attempting to achieve convalescence...
...but it is proving difficulty
...i'm suffering through a bout of shingles again
this time it is chewing through my sciatic nerve...
...this brings pain into a new definition of continual
and all of this happens during my favorite season...
...i'm missing the spindown of autumn
i'm losing the fading sunlight and brilliant colours...
...instead i've been laying on the couch a great deal
looking out the windows at life...
...instead of living it
...
