(no subject)
hey everyone-
glad to be back. I think this year will be a worthy ending to my highly anticipated countdown to the end of summer hell. (Which was highly exaggerated & not really that terrible...) Anyhow, it has been so great to see so many people lately. This includes everyone from Estes, people from my dorm & classes last year, my rad new roommates, and even a few hot boys I've been recently introduced to.
I'm taking physics from hell & I'm not sure if I'll last. I had the same super shitty professor for a way easy class I took last semester (which was nice, as I didn't have to pay attention), but this is Intro to Quantum Mechanics & Special Relativity, which is scurry. FYI- I had to skip level 3 cause of a schedule conflict, so I'm taking level 4 right now (level 3 isn't a prereq) & I swear, everyone in the room looks at least 26. I felt like a little girl & got lost real quick. Last year, Audrey & I counted the number of times this professor said "ummm," "ya know" and cleared his throat & we got to 92 in less than 15 minutes. So in any case, he is pretty bad, and what I gathered from his mumbling today is that apparently, a golf ball in motion has more mass than a golf ball at rest. Crazy.
Then I went off to Calc 3, thrilled to see Audrey for the first time since last year & then noticed ex-roomie Sarah Melton just in front who was super friendly despite the fact that we didn't end on such hot terms. & then- Josh! Yay. He told me he wasn't gonna take the class, so it was a nice surprise & he agreed to be my lab partner. Hurray!
Lastly, astrophyics 1, which was surprisingly boring syllabus crap for the whole hour. Hopefully, we'll get into more interesting stuff soon. I have 2 more classes tomorrow & then pretty soon I'll conduct my first "learning group" for astronomy 1120, which is also terrifying. Nonetheless, it's good to be back.
