Had such a good time Thursday night! Managed to ride on the bliss all through work today so my 7 hours sped by like it was nothing. We went and saw
Greg Behrendt (Kimmay and I's favoritest comedian EVER!) at Cobb's in SF. When I saw him at the Improv a couple months back, he was kind of a tool with his black wool coat and little grey scarf. But last night he was back in action! He swore! He yelled! He wore a leather wristband! He was all punked out! It was cool as hell! I made special shirts for the occasion that read (front) "Don't overthink it..." (back)"...let the Razzle bceome you." We puffy painted them and everything. I also wore my robe so I could kick it robestyle. AND I baked him a cake and we brought razzles to throw on stage during the candy joke! When we showed up, he was hanging out talking to another comedian just off the lobby, so we poked him and he came right out and gave us super-big bear hugs and told us how glad he was that we came and couldn't believe we brought cake. We had to scoot because we were late already and the host-girl was giving us evil looks, but he was all happy we came and said we totally had to say goodbye before we left. He also asked if I had any requests! I was so surprised I just said "pictionary" which he was gonna do anyway, but later on I cursed myself for not saying "jesus-ripped" because I haven't heard that since the first time I saw him with Gabe.
The show was totally great and after he was a little mobbed in the lobby. I just waved and thanked him and he said "Wait, you're leaving already?" But I didn't want to be a jerk and monopolize him so I said I'd see him next time and waved before stepping out. I should have fought my way in though... Kimmay got a hug AND a smooch! *jealous* Next time.
The after the show, we dared Mark to scream "FORNICATORS!!!" to the next person who walked by, but no one did before we got to the car, so he leaned out and did it after a light. I was hurting from laughter. Solid.
Friggin' awesome night. Tonight we head over to Kepler's for the Harry Potter Book Release. They don't have the audiobooks yet though. *scowl*
