First day of externship was super fun! Chopped lots of stuff, watched the line cooks, filled out paperwork, got to coat some cakes in chocolate sauce, and was informed I was allowed to eat anything in the restaurant at any time as long as it's not pre-portioned meat (i.e. a 4 oz filet, or 12 oz. steak). Everyone back of the house is pretty nice so far and the front of the house is extremely friendly. Everyone made me feel welcome despite the fact that I only remembered maybe 4 names in my 5 hours there. They even let me set my own schedule! Hella sweet. I will be working lunch from 8-3 every day except Thursday and Saturday. Flea Markets are still on!

Might be moving into nana's house august 1st. More details will come after talking to dad later this week.
