Well, that was an interesting weekend...
Somehow I managed to get my assignment deadlines mixed up, and ended up having to do a rather tricky database assignment inside a single weekend. It doesn't look great, but it's better to hand something in, than have nothing to hand in. Even if I got only 5% (which is unlikely) then I'd be able to resubmit coursework, however, the mark would be capped at 40% for that unit. I'll just have to hope for a pass mark and concentrate on having a damn dazzling examination sit. Maybe I can record a merit for it yet. I sure am keeping my fingers crossed in hope. This serves as a wake up call... I need to attend University more. If I had the choice right now I'd move back home. Simply because work is costing me too much time at the moment, it would be nice not to have the added pressure of bills, and rent. But I think we're in a situation now where we'll be here until August.
Money's extremely tight at the moment, but that's what you get for going on holiday in December!
If I can keep it all together for the next five months.
Since I'm a "contractor" for Vecsoft UK Ltd for the time being, with no set contract, I guess I'm as flexible as ever so this shouldn't be a problem.
I've been pretty good with University work so far this symester, I'm just paying dearly for a terrible previous symester. I knew it would catch up with me, I just didn't realize how upset it would make me. University is the priority here, not work and sadly, not Rachel either.
I miss Rachel terribly, it doesn't get easier to be four-thousand and ninty-seven miles away from your girlfriend. I'm expecting my promise ring to arrive in the post in a day or two. I'm looking forward to that. It'll also be only a few months until Rachel will be here again. The countdown for Rachel's arrival is usually also a countdown for exams, so I tend to have mixed feelings about having the time simply speed away.
So I apologise right now to my friends who may not see me as much.
Just a few months, that's all...
