The last week of my time in America was fantastic. I'll make a back-dated post later on to document what I got up to.

My first week back in England has been very strange... I threw my sleep pattern completely off balance, and have worked hard to get it back on track ready for 2009. Christmas happened, I was lucky to get a good number of presents this year.

Christmas Gifts

Natalie and Kevin bought me a Brita water filter, a Jamie Oliver cookbook I'm looking forward to learning from and a computer science book from 1985!

Mum and dad bought be a watch, which I received prior to leaving for America, some tasty humbugs, a fluffy penguin with long legs, and gave me £40. The cash was extremely useful as I managed to lose my wallet on Christmas Eve.

Nan bought be some red cabbage, which I accidently left round my parent's, some chocolate, two very nice towels, and gave me £10.

Gran bought be a really nice hooded pullover, and a very neat scarf.

Rachel bought me a nice shirt which fits perfectly, and which I wore to Marylee's graduation, some very nice khaki trousers, a picture frame with a photo of us on Bournemouth Pier from the summer, and my promise ring which she'll be mailing to me next week via recorded/insured post.

Dinner was nice but 2006 was still the best christmas meal in the history of christmas meals ever.

New Year Resolutions

1. Exercise and lose weight - I'm getting to the point where I need to seriously address my diet and overall health. So I'll be watching what I eat and getting good exercise.

2. Learn lots of recipies from Jamie Oliver's cookbook.

3. Study harder, learn harder... I've been far too lazy in the previous symester and have lots of work to make up for. My target is to earn another distinction.

I think these are three big targets for me to hit. And I'll be trying my hardest to make these happen. I'm so glad that "quit smoking" isn't up there with those, since I accomplished that (for the 2nd or 3rd time) earlier in the year, I've just got to hope I never lapse back into that aweful habbit.

new year, new year's resolutions, christmas, presents
