Applebee's and Indigo

Dec 05, 2008 02:21

Had a good day today, Rachel and I spent a little longer getting up than we had originally planned, but we got up eventually and had breakfast. Left in the car and drove to Applebee's for lunch. I had a lovely 9oz. sirloin steak with mashed potato followed by the famed Blue Ribbon Brownie, t'was great. :-D

We headed into AU early in search of a gown for Marylee's graduation, and had a little time to spare and went into the honors lab and met some of Rachel's friends Don, Erica, Michael. I stayed in the lab while Rachel went to class. Rachel joined us once class had finished and we hung out in the lab until Rachel's next class with Dr Fertig and Rachel and I headed over. Enjoyed the class, there were several presentations given, the theme was primarily an island called Ossabaw. Some of the students gave a presentation about Indigofera "Indigo Plant" and the process of dyeing materials using this once harvested plant. I have a tennis ball dyed Indigio as a reminder of my studies :)

Rachel's friends are bouncy, comical, and friendly. I've met more of her friends than mentioned above but struggle remembering too many names at once.

Class went on quite long, and we headed back to the lab to await Erica and Don as Rachel needed to collect a book from Don. We left and headed to the store and then the gas station, and got home at 10pm.

Rachel is finishing her papers for tomorrow and I'm relaxing and listening to music playing from Rachel's laptop.

Found it very easy to jump straight back into Rachel's arms :)

Still haven't taken any pictures. Promise to do so tomorrow.
