i've bought new shoes for school :D they don't look very schoolshoes-ey, but i don't care hah. i was inspired to get them after a classmate, who has them but in a different color, said she bought them affordably at the yishun mrt area... and guess what? saku has the black/red version! my friend, jean, had the pink/grey version, and since i didn't want to copy either, i got the remaining color, blue, which i like :D they're the most comfortable shoes i've ever worn. apparently they're taiwanese.
there's some event called 'Celebrating Values Day' coming up at YJC... fund-raising. again, haha. THERE IS NO ESCAPE. each OG needs to set up a stall, so mine is doing games because we're scared of uh 'hygiene standards' and 'food poisoning'. i'm going to be in publicity.
yesterday, i went to a compulsory meeting of something called the 'International Student Association' in YJ. since i am a PR, i needed to attend. the basic point of it was to encourage us to join activities to help us integrate into singapore and singapore school life. i guess its a good thing for those that have just come from overseas or smth, but for me? its kinda bothersome >< though i appreciate the effort, of course. they provided a meal, and i pigged out on mayo and fried chicken. i need to do more cardio. ><
something weird and very unexpected happened yesterday... during a free period (i have more of them than other people, because my french hasn't started yet) i was sitting outside one of the lecture theatres doing up my daily planner. i had screwed up the dates and was blanko-ing the wrong ones. i was with a friend of a friend who i didn't really know. on the bench beside was another girl, with whom i got talking after she asked me where i got my gp notes. we found common ground as Twilight-haters, manga-appreciators, lit-peeps and poetry-lovers. when we were on the topic of manga, i asked her if she had a dA account. zomg she does lol. so i tell her to write down her username for me, and when she does, i look at it, and it seems a little familiar. i write down mine, and she says she might have seen me around online before. then she asks me if i know this one username. ... it was SHANICE's username. turns out this girl was at the MCR meet-the-band auditions that i accompanied shanice to, and she went to the concert as well. which fairly means we had kinda met before. it was very... strange.
at least i have one more person with whom i can have conversation with, outside the dry boundary of 'what secondary school are you from' and 'whats your subject combo'. the thing is, she's obviously an mcr fangirl and by the looks of it, a bit emo at the very least, and i'm a little uneasy about that, because i think she assumed i'm a fangirl as well, and shanice has made me hate emos. i foresee that i shall have to set the record straight sooner or later, but i'll wait and see for the moment, i guess.
first econs tutorial test on monday! gotta read up.
