a primary school friend also contacted me on facebook. turns out she was in the jc that (a certain UGH girl that i hate that followed me from primary school) appealed into, and she was grousing to me about having to endure two years with her. i got through 4 (my karma sucks) alright, and i found great people (my karma rocks) which leads me to conclude my karma is fairly average, maybe on the good side because one bad was outweighed by a whole lot of good :) i remember my friend used to be an avid hp fan (we used to tease her about her liking daniel radcliffe) so i directed her to shoebox heheh, remains to be seen if she reads it.
we had our first lectures today.
i REALLY don't like our principal. think slave driver with screechy voice and a mike. that nods sharply at every word and puts 's's behind words unnecessarily.
gp lecture was alright. we were shocked by the 'deep' questions. ._.
lit lecture was amusing. there's not so few lit people after all, thank goodness, but still less than half a lecture theatre. :(
econs lecture was... a lecture. people got into so much trouble for being late, and talking. the lecturer is such a no-nonsense person, its scary. i have a feeling the (male) assistant lecturer is scared of her. she gave us our first assignment, and i'm currently looking up 'mobility of labour' and 'capital'.
i've got loads more lectures coming up. my application for Language Elective Scholarship (french) is sent (i got the shock of my life when i received postmaster direct after sending it yesterday. turns out i typed the address wrong. so scary. i got it right the second time though. ) and i really really hope it gets approved. it WILL get approved.
there's a girl with an unpronouncable name from myanmar in the lit lecture group. i sat beside her, and forgot her name about 2 minutes after asking. ._.
random: i am addicted to Polo sweets.
