Two days ago I was asked to join the running crew for the dance concert that opens tonight.
The original crew walked out on the stage manager, just days before opening night.
This whole production has been brought about by a series of spectacular series of mishaps.
Take tonight for example,
It is opening night and someone rewired the lighting systems patch panel (its an old style spaghetti board). This wasn't discovered until moments before the house opened. The director was losing it, but the theaters TD came in and rewired the patch panel from memory. In five minutes she had the lighting system worked out and ready to run. We have officially given her the title of all knowing techie goddess.
(I'm not going to mention how I want to strangle the sound designer. - This is the first show in three and a half years that I'm not working on as the sound designer. So naturally I have a few gripes with how the new guy is handling things)
UPDATE: The show ran without a single hitch.

I have my first job interview a week from today. The interview is for a position with an IT consulting firm in Columbus. If they have a job offer, I'll take it. I am rather hopeful as they contacted the day after receiving my resume. I got the call this afternoon, and the recruiter asked me two things, what I expected to be payed and when I could come in for an interview. I'm somewhat new to this, but I'd say thats a very positive response.
In other news, Erin wants us to move to Arizona. Out of College if possible. Which I think is great (I'm all for moving out of Ohio). Unfortunately it is not a feasible possibility, Erin doesn't have any current job prospects there, and I'm 80% of the way to through making the move to Columbus. The compromise is that I'm looking at consulting work instead of a career leading job. In another year or so we will look at moving out of the state.
