4月20日 - 東京 Tokyo
I have no idea what day of the week it is. Tuesday, maybe. I think it's Tuesday. It's an off day for us, but we were on a train from Hamamatsu to Tokyo this morning, and were wandering around Harajuku this afternoon.
Spent too much money in Harajuku, again. Stopped in at Sex Pot Revenge and picked up this amazing ring, with a massive purple stone in it and rhinestone studded stars on the setting. Also got a shirt, totally boys-type but whatever. I like random shit. It's long enough to be a fuckin' dress on me and here in Japan that says something. Picked up a random hat that I can't seem to take off; it's oversize and baggy and great.
After some purikura with Maura and Jess we headed home to Erin's house, where Maura is living with Erin and her dad. Right now we're just wrapping up getting all the traveling sorted out for the next two-show leg of the trip; Niigata and Kanazawa.
Apparently the Niigata club is aptly named; Junk Box Mini has a standing capacity of 150 people. This is going to be a crazy small, probably crazy fun show. Looking forward to it. Ticket numbers for this show: 16 and 17 I think. Kanazawa we have 9 and 10.
We'll be back here in Tokyo after Kanazawa, since we have an off day before Kobe. Starting the 24th is the longest leg of this tour for us; We leave for Kobe in the morning and won't be back in Tokyo till the 30th. I'll be trying to get some more shopping done in Tokyo on the 30th, because Harajuku is the best place in the whole world. Even if it is expensive.
Still, today being a day off feels weird. After three consecutive shows, we're all too tired to continue without a break but the fact that we're not in line, or in a crowd, or at demachi just seems....strange. It's like things are too quiet. Miyavi's limit is three consecutive shows; any more than that and his voice starts to crack and fade. We all needed some downtime. Even if I feel like I could keep going the fact that I"ve been contemplating just falling asleep wherever I happen to be sitting since about eight pm is a sure sign of that.
So I suppose I will go make with the sleeping like a good Komiyavi.
