Right across the street from my apartment building in Harlem, pre-teenage girls skipping rope and double-dutching.

And joining them? Two Mormon missionaries -- a scene "straight" outta Latter Days.

Damn my state of non-camera-readiness! :-)

It's freakin' unbelievable, my life now compared to 6 months ago.

In mid-May I was:

• Living with my Mom and trying desperately not to strangle her on her "off" days.
• In a dead-end job at a dead-end company in NoLib.
• Sleeping in my childhood room and its tiny (albeit comfortable) bed.
