Voicemail (ObamaMail?) from Mom last night

Aug 29, 2008 10:28

"Hey sweetie, it's Mom. I just wanted to call and share one little second with you about, you know, on this historic night.

"I just want to know (remember) that on this night August the (um -- oh Jesus) August the 28th, 2008, the night African-Americans -- or I should say 'mixed' Americans (hehehe) because I forgot what his mother heritage was, but anyway -- just to see a man there who I never thought would be there. So I just wanted to share with you so I could say 'Well where were you?' and I was like, 'Oh I called my son that night!'

"But anyway, this is wonderful, Dennis. This is something that I never thought I'd see in my time. So I'm telling you, when he becomes President it's just gonna be bedlam in... in the United States. So it's a wonderful thing!

"So anyway, I hope you're as excited as I am. I love you, I'm getting ready to go to bed, you don't have to call me back. Um, I'll talk to you tomorrow or next day, ok? Love you. Grace & peace."
