Gaming with EvAv
Well so far things are going alright. I went home early the other day from work because I was feeling ill. The flu is starting to go around in this town. Dayna had it, I've had it, Shannon's family had it. I'm not sure if Shannon has had it or not yet.
Other than that things are going well, the upgrades to the computer came and I installed them and now my PC runs like a beast. It's amazing how different things are with a better video card and 3 gigs total of RAM. Also I figured out how to use the S-video cable that came with the card to hook up a link from the card to my television. This allows me to use this screen to do work, and I can play full screen video on my television now without any issues. It's nice to watch all my anime on the big tv now without trying to fiddle with adjustments and whatnot like I used to do with my 360.
As of late I've been playing games with the Evil Avatar community. It's a really good group of guys/girls and so far every game I've played with them ends up being enjoyable. I don't worry about Halo 3 games when those start at the end of the month because Jim and I will play with this group of guys. Oh yeah Jim's already got a spot in playing because it's better than letting him play with Joe Noob who screams insults and slurs all the time into the mic.
Last night I played Warhawk on an EvAv server with the group and it was overall a great night of gaming. Lots of death in the Warhawk as well as on the ground. The night before I played Bomberman Live with a few other folks from the site as well and again it was great.
Other games I'm playing..
-Harry Potter:OotP (360)-Shannon's game, but easy achievements.
-Dynasty Warriors: Gundam-Great game. Frankly the best part for me is watching how people interact with each other on the field. Such as when Domon from G Gundam runs into Kamielle from Zeta Gundam and they clash. It's just neat to see how different the mobile suits are from the point of view of other pilots. I mean if the only gundam's I knew where in Char's time then I ran into a martial arts hand to hand style gundam from G Gundam then I'd be shocked too I suppose.
-Bioshock- Great game, just need to finish it.
-Madden 08- Sports game, leave it at that.
-Everquest 2-long story
On a funny note is that Shannon's hooked into Everquest 2 as well. While we can't play together, we take turns on my PC. She loves to craft where as I love to hit things with my fist. I'll say it again that I HATED everquest for awhile, then I played this new version of EQ2 and so far I've yet to be let down. Heck try the trial JIM or JENN and see what you think. =p
So I guess I'll leave things at that, it's early still and I just put Dayna back to sleep. She has two teeth so far, and another one coming in. She's crawling for the most part now and a handful all the time.
