What: A little chat
Where: Rai's Office, mostly
Rating: PG
Humming happily as he put the supplies for that session's physical education class into a box, Kamechirou hefted up the container and headed for the supply closet in the hallway. Best to clean up right away and have more time for fun later.
Rai spotteed Kame putting a box in a closet down the hall and jogged up to him, stopping about a foot away. "Kamechirou-san," he greeted, pulling out a notebook, "Do you have a minute?"
"Rai-kun," Kamechirou grinned, "For you, I have hours." Putting the box down and pulling Rai into the closet, he turned on the storage lights and asked, "What's up?"
"...Why are we talking in the closet?" Rai asked, noting something in the notebook he held.
"I don't know," Kamechirou scratched his head sheepishly. Eying Rai's notebook with interest, he inquired, "What are you writing down?"
"Stuff," Rai answered vaguely, stepping back out of the closet, "Why don't we go talk in my office? I have chairs."
"Sure thing!" he nodded, following Rai out of the closet. Looks like we've come out of the closet, Kamechirou snickered to himself. "What do you want to talk about?"
"Your encouragement of Niou-kun's idea that he's pregnant and of Hiyoshi's belief in aliens," Rai answered, leading the way to his office and opening the door for Kame.
"And?" Kamechirou stated in confusion as he took a seat across from Rai's desk. "As the Uncle of the child, I will support Fuzzy and my little brother all that I can," he nodded. "And aliens exist," Kamechirou was convinced.
Rai raised an eyebrow at Kame and decided not to pursue the issue too much. "Are you sure that Niou-kun is actually pregnant?" he asked.
"Of course," Kamechirou raised an eyebrow to match, "Why would he lie about something like that?"
"Because he is a natural teller of untruths?" Rai answered, shuffling some of the papers off his desk.
Frowning, Kamechirou said to Rai, "I don't think that's a very nice or fair thing to say about someone."
"..." Rai stayed silent for a moment, "I suppose not," he said after a pause, taking out a book from a pile beside the desk.
"What's that?" Kamechirou pointed at the book, happy for a change of topic. "And what were you writing down earlier?" he asked eagerly.
"It's a textbook," Rai answered, "And I was writing notes," he continued, showing Kame the half page of scrawling handwriting in the notebook.
"What are they notes on?" Kamechirou asked, before he went to take a look at them. It must not be secret psychologist stuff if he could look at it, "For your project?"
"Yes," Rai answered, taking the notes back and setting the book in one of his drawers.
"How will random stuff about me help with your project?" Kamechirou asked, somewhat befuddled.
"That's only one page you realize," Rai said, "There are notes on other people too."
"Oh..." Kamechirou still didn't see how it would help, but he would not press the topic. "Well, if there's anything you want to know, you can just ask me," he grinned.
Rai realized that Kame had just succesfully changed the topic, but decided he'd get other chances to talk about it with the other man another time. "Thank you for your time," he said calmly.
"No problem," Kamechirou crossed his arms behind his head. "Is there anything else I can help you with?" The psychoanalyzer was just too cute, sitting behind his desk with his papers and creepy, little stalker notes about people. He found it adorable.
Rai shook his head, he'd gotten what he could for the moment, although he seemed to be running low on... "Do you hae any extra pens I could borrow?" he asked, sighing. He had plenty of pens, he just never seemed to be able to find them.
"Pens," Kamechirou frowned, forgetting entirely about the pen he stuck haphazardously in his ponytail that morning for attendance. "I might," he emptied his pockets of a hacky sack, two cans of Red Bull, a sticky note that says GORGON in huge letters for some reason he couldn't recall, a few yen and a pocketed dictionary of translated Shakesperean insults. "Sorry, I don't seem to have one either," he drooped.
Rai squinted for a moment at Kame's ponytail as the other man looked through his pockets, before realizing there was a pen stuck in it. Standing up, he walked over, leaning over the drooping man to pull the pen gently out of his hair. "Yes you do," he said, showing the pen to Kame.
"Oh," Kamechirou chuckled sheepishly, "It seems that I do. You can have it, I don't really need pens for anything anyway." Inwardly, he toyed with the idea of asking the other man out again, as they had enjoyed a nice Valentine's meal together (even if he couldn't speak at the time).
"Thank you," Rai said, uncapping the pen and returning to his desk.
"No trouble," Kamechirou grinned, taking out his ponytail. Not having the pen in there messed it up a bit, he gathered his hair and redid it. "Did you mean what you said, when you said you might dance with me?" Kamechirou asked, an idea blooming in his head.
"Of course I did," Rai said, startled at the random question, "Why else would I have said it?"
"Would you like to go dancing with me then?" Kamechirou came out and asked.
"When and where?" Rai asked, not wanting to randomly be dancing with Kame in an alley or something. That would be rather embarassing.
"March fourtheenth," Kamechirou stated, not quite randomly. "And I know a few clubs, depending on what type of dance you are interested in."
"White day hmm?" Rai said thoughtfully, tucking a bit of hair behind his ear, "I suppose that works," he agreed after a moment, smiling slightly at Kame.
"I didn't even realize it was White Day," Kamechirou lied smoothly, "But I'm glad you can make it!" he grinned. "What kind of dance do you like?"
"I don't suppose it really matters," Rai answered, "I can do most classical dances," he informed the other man, flipping through the big text book absently.
"So freestyle is out then?" he asked, wondering if Rai would be in for the normal concept of clubbing. If not, he knew a very good cabaret bar where lots of dancing went on.
"Very probably," Rai agreed, finding the page he wasnted to look at.
Kamechirou pouted slightly; it wasn't polite to look away from someone when making a date with them. He was quite tempted to sit Rai on his lap and tell him that. However, he turned that frown into a grin and nodded, "I know the perfect place."
"Alright then," Rai replied absently, looking through the page to find the section he was looking for, "Is it a date then?"
Rai should feel lucky that Kamechirou wasn't so easily offended. "See you then, Rai-chan, dress nicely," he winked at the man who wasn't looking.
Rai nodded, finding the section he was looking for and taking out a notebook to copy it down so he wouldn't have to look for it again. "I'll be seeing you then," he said, absorbed in his work for the moment.
Kamechirou snickered; he'd got away with calling him Rai-chan. "Tata for now," he bade, vacating the office.
