IcandothisIcandothisIcandothisIcandothis... Right. Gakuto swallowed hard as he stopped in front of Yuushi's door, and took a deep breath. Just knock. He should just knock. Simple. Really simple, right? He could do it. Had to do it. He did.

Yuushi was unpacking a box of books and lining them up on his bookshelf. He had tried to only use half the room in case he got a roommate soon-except his boxes were still on the other side of the room. Pausing at the knock at the door, he clapped his hands together to clear away imaginary dust, and went to open it. He found himself pleasantly surprised at the smaller redhead at his door. "Gakuto!" He said, grinning. "It's so good to finally see you." And with that said, he reached out to pull the other into a hug-still not fully back into the respectful Japanese mindset.

"Been a whi..." And there his words were cut short. He found himself in Yuushi's arms, and for a second he just wanted to cry, or pound the bluehaired boy on his chest, or something. "Yu--Yuushi," he yelped instead, flailing slightly.

After a full minute, he pulled back, but reached out to grasp Gakuto's wrist to pull him inside, shutting the door behind them. "How are you doing? It looks like you grew." He drawled with an impish grin.

"Of course I grew! Growth spurt when I was sixteen, you know?" Thank god Yuushi hadn't touched his bad wrist; it still wasn't completely healed, even if it was well out of its cast by now. "And... I'm... Uh. Better." He showed his slightly swollen wrist. "And... You?"

"That is wonderful. I was afraid you would always be that petite." He knew Gakuto did not care for the word 'short', so he refrained from using it. Yuushi plopped down on the bed, pulling the other down with him-it was somewhat strange how comfortable he still felt around Gakuto, even without seeing him for three years. "Better...?" He asked, frowning as he looked at the wrist. "What happened, Gakuto?" His voice did not have any room for nonsense.

"Had a fight with Kikumaru. And I was dodging a blow and landed wrong when I tried to do a handstand." Why was he telling him this? To everyone else, he had said that he had tripped. Simple.

"Why were you fighting with Kikumaru?" He asked, frowning deeply as he looked at it. It wasn't like Gakuto to miss when doing gymnastics.

"Because he's an ass." He shrugged. "Or was. I think we might become friends or something now." His eyes grew wide. "I broke it, you know! It's almost healed now but man, it hurt!"

"Oh...That is good to hear. I told you years ago he is pretty nice." Before blinking, his own eyes widening. "You broke it? Really? You should take more calcium, or something if you broke it just landing wrong. Are you sure you shouldn't have a brace on it?" He asked, finally taking a breath.

"I did," Gakuto laughed, carefully touching it. "I could take it off the other day though, and not a moment to soon! Itched like hell! And it's my left hand too, so I couldn't write properly."

"Oh...Well, be careful form now on, and take calcium every day." He scolded-sounding like he did when he talked to his cousin. "Other than that, how are you doing?"

"Not good." He shrugged. "Not as bad as yesterday though. You met up with that angel person again? Probably did, huh, since we had classes today too."

"Why not, Gakuto?" He asked, surprised. This wasn't like his cheery friend. He frowned. "I've only met him yesterday...but that is not important...."

"Because oh, I don't know." He shook his head. "I... wanted you to see me! First!"

Oshitari blinked in confusion and cocked his head. "What do you mean, see you first? I saw him in class. I haven't even seen Kenya properly, yet!"

Shivering at the touch, Gakuto shut up for a moment, and then glanced down at his feet. "It's just... I... Kinda sorta was in love with you in Junior High and now I... I don't know, I..."

Yuushi froze, his eyes wide. Did he just hear that right? "Gakuto...You...I never....I'm so sorry..." He sat down, the movement bringing the other down to sit on the bed since he still had his hands unconsciously on the small shoulders.

"There are some shit I never told you," Gakuto muttered, allowing himself to be placed on the bed, while painfully aware of Yuushi's hands. "That being one of them. I was stupid, you know? Told myself you'd notice yourself eventually. I... took you for granted, I guess."

Oshitari couldn't believe what he was hearing that. "Like what...else?" He asked, unsure if he wanted to hear this. "I'm sorry that I never knew, Gakuto...You've always been my best friend...I..." Yuushi didn't even know what to say.

"But that kinda was years ago, wasn't it?" He took a deep breath and forced a smile to his lips. "Well, I'll tell you some other time. You've got enough on your mind right now, right?"

"Was...it?" He asked, barely whispering. It...didn't seem like it. "No, I've got nothing on my mind now..." Yuushi said, almost fully truthful.

"... It's been three years. And we barely kept it touch. So..." Why the hell was he crying. He was, wasn't he?

Yuushi's right hand came up from his shoulder to wipe at the tears Gakuto had. "I...had no idea. I'm so sorry I hurt you, Gakuto."

"Well, yeah, I'm sorry for dumping this on you, but if I didn't, it'd just be there and it could fester and I'd never be able to talk with you again, you know?" He sniffled. "I... don't want that."

"It's alright, Gakuto. You shouldn't bottle this up..." He sighed, and wrapped both arms around the other, sort of holding him, patting him on his back. "I have something to tell you....I'm a horrible person."

Gakuto listened quietly.

Yuushi continued slowly. "He...wore glasses. I've found that I'm very much attracted to glasses. And...he came back to school one day in contacts. I dumped him that afternoon, when he told me he hated glasses."

: ... Well. That was... So. Very. Yuushi. He always knew those glasses he wore were fake. He couldn't help but smile quickly at that. "Yeah? And then?"

"He got mad. Started stalking me. Calling me all the time. Sending texts. Waiting outside my class, and...So when Aunt Amaya called me, worried because Kenya would be all alone at camp...I jumped at the chance to come back home."

Feeling himself grow cold, Gakuto reached out a hand and tentatively touched Yuushi on his cheek. "What a fucker... I... Couldn't you like... Report him? I don't know... Or something? It's good that you got away from him! I'd kill him if it were me! Like I'd kill Saka---" Oh. Working yourself up to a rage probably isn't good, when you're the kind of person who can't control his tongue when upset, Gakuto...

He smiled, appreciating the other's touch. "I did...and he'd stop for a couple days...than start back up again. It was ruining my England experience..." He trailed off, blinking. "You'd kill...Saka...?" He asked, pulling over to look at the other with serious eyes. "What do you mean...?"

"What a fucker... And uh... like... that's the kinda thing I didn't wanna tell you about just now, but... uh..." He could have hit himself. So... He did. In the head. Lightly enough though.

Seeing Gakuto hit himself, he frowned, and pulled the other's hand away gently. "Don't you ever do that again." He hissed, pissed off to see it. The next second, Yuushi wrapped his arms around the other, before continuing. "But...if you don't want to tell me, I understand but..."

"Hey, it wasn't hard, I..." He fell silent for a moment, resting his head against Yuushi's shoulder. "Well, I do wanna tell you. But you have your own shit and I don't wanna burden you. But... Uh... You remember Sakaki-sensei, right?"

Yuushi kept Gakuto snug against his body as he listened. "Yes...of course I do." He had had him as a tennis coach, and the music teacher, of course.

Well, how to say this... Gakuto hesitated for a moment, then muttered: "You know he likes them young?"

Yuushi looked down at Gakuto. "No...No...." He was such a good teacher, such a good man...

Gakuto saw the look in Yuushi's eyes and had to advert his own, couldn't bare to face him. "... So... Uh... Sorry, Yuushi."

Yuushi frowned when he saw what Gakuto did, and reached out to cup his cheek so he could look him in the eyes. "I am so sorry, Gakuto. I had...no idea. He was always so....it doesn't matter. Are you...okay?"

"Sorta." He shrugged. "I mean, I think I'm about as over it as you can get, but... Well, kinda. But you know. Three years. All middle school. I... Think I got pretty warped. Like... I kinda need sex. A lot. It's scary, you know?"

He listened, patting the other's hair gently. "Oh...Gakuto, you can't believe how sorry I am....Why didn't you tell me? Were you ashamed of what I would think...? The only thing I would want to do was put him away so you could....heal.."

"I was sorta more ashamed of me, but... Yeah, you know. Not something I'd spill just like that." He smiled. "Keigo offered to have him killed, you know. Told him some time before Christmas, I think." Why yes, they were on first name basis as well now.

The Kansai-born boy didn't know what to say. He hadn't even thought that it was a possibility. "I...see. I..." He shad no idea what to do.

"But... You know what? That was years in the past. Right? I'm pretty good right now. Just... promiscuous or something, I guess." He shrugged. "I'm fine, but... I didn't want there to be any more secrets between us."

"I...appreciate you telling me, and I am sorry that I was not here for you when you needed me..."

"Well, I wasn't exactly there for you when that prick started harrassing you, right?"

"That was only a couple months ago, and it was nothing compared to that...." He said, frowning still.

"It freaked you out enough to leave England. So cut the crap. That's bad enough."

"Well....I have a soft spot for Aunt Amaya, and the idea of being able to spend the rest of high school with Kenya would have made me decide to come home anyway. I think I learned enough within my first two years in england." He said, smiling softly.

"You still talk kinda funny," Gakuto pointed out with a grin. "Almost like a gaijin!"

Yuushi chuckled at the words. "Really? Well...I haven't spoken much Japanese in the past three years...my brain started to think in English, even."

"What, for real?!" Why were you staring at his head all of a sudden, Gakuto?

"Yeah. I've been hugging people...touching people...I called Tachibana An miss Tachibana..." He grinned.

"You need to do something completely Japanese." Question was what. What could they do? Hot springs? Nah, naked Yuushi body. Could be bad. "Karaoke originated from Japan, right?"

Gakuto was cute. He couldn't help but start chuckling. "I spent my first two days here banging the Japanese part out again. I'm good. Though, if you do want to go Karaoke this weekend, I'd be glad to."

"Really, you promise?!"

Yuushi nodded. "Of course. We can make a day of it."

"Sweet!" He put a little bit of distance between him and Yuushi, putting up his hand. "High five!"

Chuckling, he put his hand out to give the other a high five. "So...what else is going on?" He was almost hesitant to ask.

"Nothing much~ Kikumaru is scared to death I might have the hots for him." And yes, he looked mighty proud at that fact.

"You are a little imp." He said, grinning at the other.

"I kinda like that!" He grinned back, feeling somewhat like a rock had been lifted from his shoulders.

He only chuckled at the other. "What, the name imp?"

"Yeah~" He grinned and stretched. "Man, I glad I really did come over to talk with you..."

"I'm glad you did too, and I'm sorry if I somehow upset you..." He replied, smirking back.

"Yeah, but let's just forget about it." He started towards the door. "We're good now. ... Right?" And I'll try not to fall for you, damn it.

"If you're sure..." He replied, smiling. "Are you going now? We could watch a movie, or something..."

"I guess either is fine with me," Gakuto grinned. "This has been a bit... tiring, you know?"

"I understand that..." Yuushi replied, beaming at his friend. "Goodnight, Gaku."

He blushed at the nickname. Damn it, but why did he have to blush at the nickname? Oh well... He smiled. "Night, Yuushi. Sleep well."

"Sweet dreams~" He drawled.

"Oh yeah..."
