Call me maybe~ (Songs for May) and a Request

Jun 05, 2012 03:53

It's E3 week! Which means that soon I will be leaching music off game trailers, so might as well get the favorites from last month out of the way, ne?

The bouncy, the poignant, the pensive )

i kinda have a thing..., meme, music, writing

I'm growing quite fond of Ellie Goulding. (It's been a slow month for me music-wise, so nothing to share this time around)

Words: zephyr, xylograph, yearn, wanderlust, vivid

If you want more, let me know, :)

Pea mentioned I needed to listen to her, but I passed for the mo'--and then she popped up in my life! :) So it goes. Any song recs from her? (No worries. I appreciate what you've shared, but the comment is spiffy, too. :D)

Oooooh. I may do that! The meme didn't specify where the person was getting their words from, but it feels like CHEATING to just come up with them myself, ya know?

Lights is still my favorite, but I also like Little Dreams

I think it's actually harder to think up your own words sometimes. Plus, it's far more fun to try and work with a list that gives you a bit of a challenge, :)

I heard Lights twice tonight! I quite like it. Am listening to Little Dreams right now :)

It totally is .___. Exactly! Getting outside prompts makes you bend your mind more, ne?

When I try to think up my own prompts, I always get brainfreeze. Although sometimes opening the dictionary to a random page is kind of fun in it's own way, ;)

Some more words:
defenestration, abderian, petrichor, quidnunc

I also like strikhedonia, but it depends on if you consider it a true word or not

It's much like thinking up examples in class. And I--I don't think I have a dictionary to open and POINT at things. Otherwise that could be fun, heh.

QUIDNUNC. I had considered naming my Twitter that ;) It's fitting! And hey, hey, hey, I know where you got petrichor from ;) Damnm, abderian is a good word, though I have two for A already. HMM. Perhaps I should edit the post to reflect what I got...

Hell yeah, I'm a linguist! Ergo, if you can use it--and this seems like a very useable word, mind you :)--then it's a word. Once it goes into practice, it's a word, even if it irritates people!
