Laundry, laundry

Today I did something pretty darn dumb, even for me, in the history of my grad. education. I won't go into it, for lo, it was pretty stupid. Suffice to say, I won't be trying that again. Once is enough for my nerves.

School was all right! I don't think I've mentioned it, but I take one class in the afternoon, and then sit in on two others immediately following it, both taught by colleagues in the department. One's Humor, the other is Languages of the World; the former I'm more moral support/unpaid labor, the latter I'd like to teach, making it good to sit in on. It is interesting to see the teaching styles of other people in the department, and to see what I can toss into my own lectures. It makes for a long day but I rather enjoy it!

In other news, I am trying to play a bit of catch-up in various parts of my life. Tonight's catch-up has been laundry. Since my cat likes to pee on my clothes, I took a bunch of it and did sort of a pre-wash: threw it in the bathtub and soaked it in Petzyme-type stuff, then let it drain and sit. As it turns out, wet clothes like to stay wet, so getting that over to the laundry room was something of a trial. (HEAVE! HEAVE!) Then I brought over two other loads of random, just needed to get clean stuff, which are still in the dryer as we speak. I tried the adding-BPAL-to-clothes in the dryer thing again, but I don't think it quite worked, though the sock I soaked (accidentally! thin oil!) smelled pretty darn good.

Now to just finish up this laundry, soak in the tub and shower, then get some rest. I'm still playing the "what am I going to wear?" tomorrow game; I've got another week or before I planned to drop down to slightly more casual clothes. I may do it still, I may not; it's kinda neat to dress up for class. Plus it puts to good use all those pants in my closet that just tend to hang there between summers.

Oh! Randomly today, we had snow! It got us a two hour delay, in fact. Albuquerque is kinda funny when it comes to that sort of thing.
