Bullet For My Valentine @ 930 Club 5/24/2011

Aug 11, 2011 14:50

Went with my buddy Tony, Joe, and one of their friends to see BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE at 930 club.
They had no interest, but I wanted to see HALESTORM. I got there a bit early, grabbed a beer and looked around. Forgot to get the 5$ EP from Halestorm of covers :( The people in front of me were pretty funny. olderish, tlaking trash with them. The one older lady was a bit flirty (drinks i'm sure) and at one point showed me some app on her phone where she was topless and the breasts bounced. I was not sure what to say except smile and nod !

Halestorm sounded amazing as anticipated. Crowd seemed to like them OK. Only gripe was the stupid drum solo. zzzz Other than that, no complaints. Nice and loud. OH and I am pretty sure I am the only one who freaked out when they intro'd slave to the grind. I was like THE SKID ROW# SONG?!@??@
"CAN'T BE KING OF THE WORLD IF YOU'RE SLAVE TO THE GRIIIIIIII ND"

My buddies rolled in a little after HALESTORM finished. They said that they sounded alright from what they heard. Bullet came on a bit after (and a couple more beers after X_X) They sounded GREAT. Nice and loud. Headbanged a bit. Their set focused a bit more on the new stuff and ended on a strange choice (Alone?!). Either way I thought it was a very good concert and totes worth the waiting.

merch was a bit meh except for the HALESTORM covers ep (somehow I forgot to go back and get it). I recall a cute girl in a batgirl esque shirt (with mini cape) sitting near the merch booth too.
