there's only TWO kinds a people in the wooooooooooooorld..the ones that enterTAIN! and the ones that observe...
now shawty, I will admit dis is a hot trakk
but really! Are we all defined by entertainment? Either producing or consuming? What about people who pray, eh? Monks and such. What about scholars? What about soldiers? The disturbing thing is that the populace is increasingly adopting this idea--all life is about entertainment. Either being it or watching it
"Amusing ourselves to death!" is the phrase. Amusing away our attention spans to the point that we are incapable of reading. To the point that a super dumbed-down twenty second explanation of some global conflict of critical importance is "too much" for the average viewer, and so the channel is changed, and so we're all without information and therefore not able to make educated choices to sustain our democracy
Then we will really have a circus...
