I am really going crazy for Arabic culture lately. I even have a couple Saudi women in my class now. They have headscarves and all.. I am not allowed to "touch them," as in shake hands, etc. They have prayer times and what not
I am learning about all of it. Have done some research into the holy sites. It is acutely fascinating. The Arabs dont get enough credit, especially for aesthetics. Have you ever seen pictures of Al-Aqsa mosque in Medina? Incredible
But yeah, even their "costumes." Those headscarves and black burqas and all, all these shrouded people gliding around among the sacred things. Incredible stuff
