On Scaring Cable Guys and Odd Conversations in the Classroom
Ok. So my wife was at home, waiting for the cable guy to replace our cable modem. Apparently, he turned the chair at my desk to get at the modem, when he froze, startled. My wife asked him what was wrong....and he just pointed at the chair, where a pair of yellow eyes was staring at him.
I have a black chair.
And a black cat.
Oops. >.>
Ainyan emails me this at school and I start laughing. My students want to know /why/ I am laughing, so they go: "What is so funny, Mr. H?" I explain what happened, and the following conversation ensues:
"What's the cat's name?"
"Natashi."
"Kirkashi-sensei?"
"No, Natashi."
"Natashi-sensei?"
"No, Kirkashi is from Naruto, my cat is from Florida."
"You know about Naruto?"
"Yes, get to work."
Another student: "Inuyasha is better."
"I agree. Now get to work!"
