YOU GOT A KNIFE.

Characters: Nataku [TU] and Unconscious!Hei [OU]. (Note: Don't worry, he's just sleeping. No, really, he is. Nataku knows better than to mess with Hei after this long.)
Setting: Hei's bedroom.
Time: 3 AM. (Best time to bother Hei, spread the word!)
Summary: Nataku decides to retrieve the "best" knife that there is for Daddy!Wei at the potential cost of his own well-being. (Just when he had healed thanks to TU!Aerith, sigh).
Disclaimer: Got in touch with Hei-mun for permission. She's a sadist and enjoys making Hei keysmash when he's already suffered so much.

Nataku remembered that his father told him that he should tell him first of his plans to steal from someone to make sure that it was actually a good idea. However, the clone felt that that would not do as Wei was in the hospital with Yukimura. It was best if they had time alone. It was more than a little sappy of him to believe that they would be happiest together and the love that Yukimura had for Wei would help him to heal faster than if he was there. Furthermore, he felt like he had not redeemed himself from annoying his father with Anakin before.

But even more than that, he also wished to be praised about stealing such a treasured item from his father's greatest enemy. Furthermore, if he let people know what he was doing - he was sure that he would simply worry them. Alkaid particularly would not wish to know he was going somewhere that was potentially dangerous. By potentially dangerous, he meant that there was an extremely high possibility that he would be electrocuted in the face and have a matching scar as Wei along with some psychological problems.

He stood outside the building and fretted to himself about what he would do. If he broke in, it would naturally be very loud and there was no way to escape the wrath of Hei. Except jumping out some window. Which in and of itself would not hurt, but Hei somehow was a lot sneakier than Nataku and he would eventually have to be punished by the Contractor for doing something like that. Just as he was about to give up, he noticed that Hei had left his bedroom window open. One who tended to have great faith in destiny and all the other nonsense that he had been told, Nataku felt that this was a sign that he should steal from Hei (and not an open invitation for a painful, agonizing death).

The ribbons' ends curled around the window sill to carefully lift Nataku up to the window in as quiet a manner than he could accomplish. Peeking his head into the room, he immediately fixed his eyes on the sleeping Hei. Somehow there was something very insulting in the manner that Hei slept - sprawled out all over his bed with his mouth open. He was unsure but he felt like he should sleep in a far more dignified manner and later when he was in a safer environment, Nataku would let Hei know this. But first, the knife.

A few quick glances at Hei to make sure that he truly was asleep (even using his ribbon to reach out and gently poke the man before retracting it quickly, but no movement was made to get up and strangle him at the window sill), Nataku eventually crawled into the bedroom to begin his search for the blade. He looked through his closet and found only more tacky clothing - something else that he would talk to Hei about. To look in the drawers was dangerous, he did not know if he could open them without making any noise. And so, it seemed like his mission had gone without bearing any fruit.

It took a few seconds before he remembered that Hei had the knife underneath his pillow. His burst of happiness was shattered as he realized that he would have to actually get particularly close to the sleeping Hei in order to steal it. If he became injured, Wei would be upset that he had gotten injured in the first place - something that he was hoping to keep Wei and Yukimura from knowing. Nataku fretted for a few seconds before deciding that the amount of praise that he would receive would be far better than any sort of injury that he would receive. And if he was injured, he would simply hide from everyone as he had before as to not worry them. Even though, Alkaid said that it would make them feel better if he simply rested when he was injured rather than hid. He would have to find a happy medium, but that was if he ended up electrocuted.

At first he used his ribbon to try and move Hei away from the pillow that he figured that the blade was under through gentle prodding. When he was far enough away from him and the knife, Nataku leaned forward to reach underneath the pillow and take the weapon. Only to have his hand trapped by the pillow as Hei's hand shot out to the pillow, pressing down, and glaring at him - two inches from his face. Just as Nataku was going to apologize for what he was about to do and ask not to be electrocuted, Hei fell backwards - still asleep. Unable to move for a good few minutes, he remained frozen and took a great strength of will to finally grab the hilt of the blade and slide off the bed.

A faint sigh of relief that he was able to get what he wanted before skittering around the bed and out the window. Nataku felt like he should have yelled something back at Hei, but he rather felt that he should not "press his luck." Furthermore, by the time he realized that he should perhaps yell something from another building, he was already more than five buildings away from Hei's apartment. Hugging the blade to his chest, he accidentally cut the side of his face with it as he thought happily. This is a wonderful gift to give to father as he is healing.
