It annoys me slightly when my students send me emails that begin with "Hey" and my first name for several reasons (even though I suspect that the real problem is that they simply don't know how to address me and think that using just my first name is too abrupt), but the real reason is that I always have that stupid "Hey Leonardo" song in my head ( Read more... )

Several of my students are sick, and as much as I appreciate that they still feel obligated to come to class, I'd really like to tell them just to stay home. Both so that they can get better, and because I really do not want their colds, which I do not have time for.
