'nother poem

Apr 09, 2005 16:17

Cold days in the sunlight
The sun caresses my skin
Softly, lovingly
But it’s not you.

I’m shivering. [so, so cold]

The sun loses patience
And slits its wrists.
Burning in the blaring heat
My skin turns red and flakes

I wish you were here.

Long nights, lacking sleep
Reveal themselves in my eyes
Sad, sad eyes
Raccoon eyes
But so pretty. [So pretty]

I wish you wanted me.

My heart almost stopped
When you walked away
