[If you're listening to the journal, you might see and hear the flash of lightning and an accompanying rumble of thunder. A quick glance outside will tell you it's a clear, cloudless day; but on the journal you might spy a miniature raincloud floating just under the steady hand of a woman kneeling in the grass.]

[Back home, Ororo had a neat little ( Read more... )

[Is this person capable of controlling rain, and whats more using it to help in gardening? Colour her interested.]

Should you not wish to hide away your hard work, perhaps you could consider planting winter blooms to while away the harsh winter months~

The thought crossed my mind, yes. I wasn't sure I would have the time, however. It is mid-September already.

There is still plenty of time providing you act with haste~ Moondrops are to be considered, giving the time in which they grow and flourish. Camellia are also excellent choices should you desire a splash of colour on an otherwise dreary day.

[You have no idea how happy it makes Ororo to have someone to talk gardening with. Her voice turns wistful.]

Oh, camellias do sound lovely. That is an excellent idea; perhaps I'll check to see if they're available at the flower shop in a little while.

I suppose a flower shop would offer fully bloomed supplies ready to be planted.

[Garden banter is always worth giving up a little time for.]

Camellias are resistant enough that they are quite capable of sprouting from seeds even when set beneath the thickest layers of ice and snow. In which case should the flower shop here not have sufficient stock, the item shop could be used to recover said seeds~

I see you know your way around the garden. That's not something I see very often.

[She smiles into the camera. Time to be friendly!] My name is Ororo.

There seem to be a number of people here who take an interest in gardening, whether they know which is the correct path around said garden is an entirely different story however~

[And she'll return the smile with one of her own, more out of politeness than 'friendship'.] An interesting name. I am Yuuka. It is quite interesting to make your acquaintance Ororo, especially considering the few number of gardeners here who possess powers such as yours~

[Supernatural gardeners are a pretty big hit with her.]

[Kindred spirit, eh? Or not quite, as it happens.]

I'm afraid I've yet to encounter any others who have abilities they use in the interest of caring for a garden. Where I come from, I was the only one to use my powers for it. [probably because she's the only one in the Institute with powers applicable for it, but eh.]

I see. There just so happens to be a being who goes by Labrador who is capable of growing flowers and plants as he pleases.

Sadly his views clash with my own, making conversation with him a little grating~

[What a curious power! Ororo makes a mental note to find out more about this Labrador - but first;]

Grating? In what way? Surely a difference in views on the matters of gardening can't be so terrible.

Were it merely a matter of gardening then I would have gladly spurred debate on such a subject~ After all, there are many methods to go about when forming a beautiful plot.

[But it has nothing to do with gardens, but something much, much worse.]

Labrador seems to despise humans~ He will stop at nothing to slaughter any who so much as set foot within his beds.

[Just as well Ororo doesn't know him, otherwise she'd never get away with such a lie.]

[You're treading on dangerous ground, lying to Storm Miss Yuuka.]

[But as it is, those words make Ororo frown worriedly. What is it with people hating on humans, mutants.]

Is that right? That's terrible; I wonder what could be the root of such hatred?

[Well as long as she's not treading on any flowers at the same time, she'll frolic through said dangerous ground~

Though mutants are pretty cool. Despite the whole 'looking human' thing, for the most part anyway.]

Indeed, what I speak is the truth~ [HAH.] Had I have decided to have pursued matters further with the man then perhaps I could have found out. However I could not stand to keep up such a conversation with him for more than a few minutes~

That is a shame. Perhaps you did not get the whole picture from him, not if you left so soon.

Were it only possible to keep up decent conversation with the man! If anything it seems his hatred runs deep and with little reason~

Such a terrible, bloodthirsty individual.

I see. I'll keep your words in mind, should our paths ever cross. [Frowning, troubled. She doesn't want to make any presumptuous opinions before even meeting the man, after all.]
