I dont know if it works the same at other WalMarts as it does here, but the WalMart here always seems to have the SLOWEST old person working the 8 items or less checkout. Ive seen it take longer to have 8 items go through the quick checkout than it does to take a full cart load of items through a regular checkout... its just frustrating
People need to get with the program as well, if theres one speed checkout lane, and 40 people in line its going to be slow as hell... GO TO THE OTHER LANES PEOPLE. I mean really, The other lanes arent exclusively for people with empty carts, its all about load balancing...
WalMart is by far the worst place for lineups, even on normal days they have long lineups, evne if there is only a few people.
On another rant, we went to a grocery store that is open 24 hours/day (Sobeys) to pick up a snack after a movie 2 weeks ago... well... 10 minutes to grab the stuff for the snack turned into 40 minutes (!) to get out of the store. They had 1 person on the cash register, and she was telling her freaking life story to EVERY person in the line... i mean really, everyone had maybe 6 items each, there was no reason to be in line for more than 10 minutes... GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH
