Heres a pic of me and my girlfriend Sue out at dinner back in february i beleive :)
For everyone that doesnt know, and cares ;), weve been together since last june. She is moving in to this apartment with me in the fall :D
My current roommate is finally moving out, and i am so releived to finally be rid of him for good. He also found a girlfriend, but she looks like a pre pubescent boy... stepping stone maybe?
Anyways, im just getting ready to start exams, first one is on thursday afternoon, after exams are over, i will be starting work at school doing hardware research and development with one of the professors. We will be working with field programmable gate arrays and doing research in adaptive hardware. One of the projects that i have been told about is a hardware network packet sniffer that scans and classifies packets by their header signatures, as well as attempts to classify the paylod of the packet.
I am also getting a small robot to play with for the summer that is going to be used in next years operating systems 2 course. I am going to be designing and implementing a simple operating system for the robots hardware, as well as writing behaviour code for it. The robots are based on the Motorola M68HC11 risc processor, very nice to work with.
