This week, I did indeed force myself back into the IdNovel a bit. It wasn't anything extensive; just 1,400 words or so, but I think I finished that chapter. It's hard and mediocre and blah, but it's progress. Which is what I'm going for at this point. I'm very little engine who can, over here. I would like to get another chapter done in the upcoming week, but since we'll have guests all week (which: YAY) that might be a bit of a stretch.
Aside from that, I also beta read fics for two friends, and got the space opera cleaned up and coherent enough to send to MY beta. Which was a bit of a job in and of itself, since the ending required going back and introducing a bunch of elements that I hadn't known existed when I started. Heh. I am both excited to share this fic with the world, and terrified of what people will think of it.
Aaaand I'm debating what I want to do next, fannishly. I mean, I plant to ACTUALLY concentrate on my novel now, of course *guilty cough* but I have a few fics bouncing around inside my head and I'm not sure which, if any, I'm going to do something with. Hmmmmm.
