AHH! I hate shots!!! AHHHHH! /sob ... Just kidding /gg
Okay so today was noc shifts day to go and get their voluntary flu shot, 6am, bright in the fucking morning. I'm not quite done with rounds by 6am, no worries, the lady is there until like 3pm... Thats like... 9-10 hours of stabbing people, God she must love her job o.o Anyway I walk into the little room and have a seat, waiting for my turn. Shirly, my friend on North hall east wing sits next to me and I start in with the "I hate shots babble" Clair and Deb and standing and laughing at me and I basically go on and on about how much shots freak me out and that they better cover their ears cause Imma be screaming and crying. We had already gone over the topic of that I'm loud enough WITHOUT yelling cause my voice carrys in the break room. The girl, Holly, who is giving the shots is looking at me like I'm the worst thing in the world. good I got her worried, she better do a good job! /bawi Anyway, after shirly went I'm next and I make a lovely show of it, complaining about the smell of the disinfectant pads, blah blah blah. Finally she gets the needle ready and she is clearly unnerved cause I have made such a big deal about the shot. And! 1. 2. 3. Its over! lmfao. Holly just kind of looked at me and asked me if I was going to scream or anything and I smile and get up and walk out the door with the rest of the noc shift girls, by the time I get outside they are all laughing hysterically about how freaked out Holly was. Holly had it coming, not only was she in charge of administering the flu shots but she also happens to be the East wing cooridinator which basically means since I float between North and South hall east wing she has some say over anything I do. Also the few times I have worked with here where she has subbed for Ron our charge nurse she was completely humorless, I just hope since she didn't seem to happy about the needle thing she will be a little more open to my jokes next time she is paired up with me /shy On another note its been almost a full day and my arm hurts like a bitch, I guess I kind of deserve it... but I would still do it again ;p
