interesting day...

Hmm, I haven't written in a while. I think I should, but every time I get an urge to actually write something, I end up being all thoughtful and contemplative and such. Well, I had a rather interesting day today. It started with frantically finishing Japanese homework before and during my first two classes. I had a ridiculously easy map quiz in EALC 170 and half paid attention to the lecture/discussion on the Analects of Confucius while figuring out my answers to the second section of the Japanese homework. Then I wrote my answers down during the first ten minutes of AAE 201, in which I learned about geosynchronous orbits and how to calculate them and escape velocity. In Japanese I managed to answer enough questions voluntarily that by the third or so time I raised my hand, Hayashi-sensei deliberately called someone else. That hasn't happened for a while. And then in AAE 204, in which the point of the lecture wasn't made clear until the very end, I actually ended up understanding that point, even though I didn't really understand the extraordinarily abstract steps leading up to it. I think the conclusion was what really mattered though, so understanding that is good enough at this point. I ended up talking to an aero classmate about missiles while I ate lunch. And then, in EALC 298, the discussion was really heated and rather amusing, although some people got annoyed that not all the groups got to their points. I think everyone got to talk though. I mean, even Mimi, who usually just sits there, made a comment. So I think even if we didn't talk about all of the points, we had a good discussion, and I don't think Hayashi-sensei was displeased with it at any rate.

After class I had to work for two and a half hours, and then I went to judo practice. Yeah, I haven't mentioned this yet because I hadn't written in a while, but I started judo last week. I pulled something in my leg the first practice and was really stiff in general after a couple days so I didn't go to the second practice last week. So today was the third practice I went to (the ones I plan on going to normally if I can are on Tuesdays and Thursdays). This almost conflicts with work on Thursday, but I asked and my boss said it was okay for me to leave early enough to catch the bus there, so it worked. Anyway, it's pretty fun. Pretty tiring too, but if I keep doing it I'll get stronger and more flexible I hope. (not to mention being able to throw people...^-^)

So I learned a lot today. I hope tomorrow is interesting too, although I only have two classes. Hopefully that will give me time to get some things done that I need to finish soon.
